Write A Page
Login to your WordPress Administration Panel.
In your brower’s navigation bar type in: www.yourdomain.com/admin
Enter your Username and Password. This will take you to the Administration Panel Dashboard.
Click the tab for Write, and then click on Write Page.
Enter Title and Page Content under the appropriate sections.
Note: When copying and pasting information into the body of the Page Content, click on the Code tab before you paste.
Choose your Options.
An explanation of the Options is listed below.
Upload your images.
You can upload images to your page by entering the file name or by clicking Browse and choosing your file. Click Upload.
Choose how you would like your images shown and click Send to Editor.
Save your Page.
Click Save and Continue Editing, a window will appear at the bottom of your screen. This will show you what your page will look like. When you are finished editing click on Save. To make your page visible, click on Publish.
Options:
A) Discussion
Under the Discussion tab, choose whether or not to allow people to comment or post pingbacks by checking or unchecking the boxes.
B) Page Status
If you would like to save your page as a draft before publishing it, or make it a private page, click on the Page Status tab and check the appropriate box. To make your page visible to the public, choose the Published option.
C) Page Password
If you would like to password protect your page, click on the Page Password tab and enter whatever password you choose.
D) Page Parent
The Page Parent tab lets you decide where you would like to place your page. For example, if you have a tutorial that you would like to be a part of your support page, select the support page for the parent. If you would like your new page to show up on your main page, select Main Page (No Parent).
E) Page Template
The Page Template options lets you determine the look of your page be choosing the page’s template. This should correspond with the page’s parent.
F) Page Slug
When you publish your page a page slug will automatically be entered, however, if you would like your page to be called something specific, you can change it by clicking on the Page Slug tab.
G) Page Author
Choose the author by clicking on the Page Author tab.
H) Page Order
Choose the order in which your page will fall on the site by click on the Page Order tab and enter the number you would like your page to be.
I) Custom Field
You can add custom field by clicking on the Custom Field tab.
