To Resize Images

Open IrfanView and open first image to be downsized by clicking on File/Open

Click on Image/Resize-Resample image

Change width to no more than 500 pixels wide if it is larger than this, typically 250 -400 pixels is fine.

Change DPI: to 72 and click “OK”.

Click File/Save as. Name the file something different that will differentiate it apart from the old file. Also next to “save as type:” choose “JPG – JPEG Files” from the drop down menu.

Remember the location in which you saved your file, this will be the file you upload to use on your website.
